Area Info
Tragically, most visitors to Nashville, Indiana and Brown County overlook the fine curvy pavement and waste their time shopping, dining, hiking, going to shows, etc.
I thought it would be best to warn my fellow GS riders of the local activities you should avoid. It also helps explain the pasty throngs clogging up central Nashville as they plod sadly from one unique shop to the next. Try not to hit any of them - bug guts are nothing compared to tourist splat.
Brown County Links
There's not much anyone could add to the excellent web site put together by the Brown County Convention & Visitors Bureau: www.browncounty.com
Brown County State Park, just outside of Nashville.
Indiana wineries (really!): www.indianawines.org
If you have time to stop and it's on your way home, Oliver winery just north of Bloomington makes for a very pleasant interlude. If you're not on the GS, they offer free samples and sell wine seven days a week.
Visit the lodging page for more info regarding area inns, bed & breakfasts, etc. There are dozens of excellent choices for romantic getaways in the area.
